Post Pandemic –Change in life
WE see that pandemic is ending (yes cases now come and go, but overall everything is open), and we see life gaining normalcy, but as we call in Hindu mythology “Change of Yug”, this no less than that, people lost lives unexpectedly, those who survived have gained different perspective of life that Money is not the ultimate object (even rich people died). There has been far reaching changes in our daily life:
• We have doing most of the things now Digital, necessity is the mother of invention
• We kept kids away from Mobiles and tablets just 2 years back, now see the change
• Restaurants that opened for Breakfast to Dinner, now skipping Breakfast, as people working from home, so not many people (on comparative scale), comes out in morning.
• Meeting travels at one point of time was a daily affair, now we are happy with Video Conferences.
• Apps like Zoom and Teams were relatively unknown, now every smart phone has one or the other such app.
• We cherished going to super markets for weekly/monthly house shopping, now these stores have come online on different models
• We are now so much dependent of apps for house shopping that “10 -30 minute delivery” model has picked up in most major cities.
• We planned going to restaurants on weekends, now restaurants are coming to our home daily through food delivery apps.
• We went to Gym and Yoga centres, who thought they would ever go online, but now we have hosts of apps to support this need in affordable manner.
• We now miss months before going to ATM for cash withdrawal as even the road side show polish person accepts digital payment.
A Lot has changed and a lot will change further, however are all these good, I can say it is convenient, but no way its good, it will destroy our Social life (as in Pandemic Physical distancing with coined as Social distancing), it will destroy our physical & mental health.
To save ourselves, use all things digital but also go Physical at times. Happy Physical living.
